Michaella's writing reflects her personality. Her voice echoes clearly in each dispatch. I find myself being transported as she writes with vulnerability, humour and an ever-observant eye about her life in London.
Shade Art Review centres the work of Black, minority, working class and disabled artists in the UK. I have discovered so many artists and exhibition through Shade, and Lou has been hugely supportive of me as I prepared to launch my own newsletter.
I love Notion. I use it to organise my notes, articles and research before publishing. Frances is a certified Notion expert and she has built a vibrant community around this amazing product. I thought I knew a fair bit about Notion but after a few weeks of reading this newsletter, I realise I have only been scratching the surface! Each edition has tips, showcases and you go away with more ideas of how to work smarter. Guaranteed.
I really admire the conceptual art and provocations raised in the work of artist Kameelah Janan Rasheed, so imagine my surprise when I accidentally found their work on Substack. Each newsletters contains five things they have read/seen/heard. Short and to the point, but they always lead to further contemplation and I find them generative for thinking about familiar subjects in new ways and going on my own journey of discovery too!
